On September 2nd, BIMprove hosted its virtual kick-off meeting. Members from 12 different organizations working together for a common passion, attended this meeting in order to define and plan future project activities and responsibilities.
The meeting celebrated the start of the project, which aims to develop a dynamic thread system for construction sites to boost productivity thanks to the employment of digital twin technology and finally lead the European construction industry into the age of digitalization.
The consortium is well-equipped with expertise and experience both from the research domain and the industry and presents itself as a diverse and dynamic group of multiple European nationalities: Norway (SINTEF, Catenda AS, AF Gruppen), Spain (AUSTRALO, Vias y Construcciones SA, Robotnik Automation AGVs), Germany (Fraunhofer IAO, DIN German Institute for Standardization, University of Stuttgart IAT), Switzerland (Zurich University of Applied Sciences, HRS Real Estate AG) and Finland (VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland).
The attendees were excited to start the project and are looking forward to meeting its challenging goals!
